I am sure we all can agree that no one’s life is perfect.
Everyone faces hardships, trials and tests daily. It is up to us as to how we handle these hardships or circumstances to make most of life.
Only you have the ability to change and make your life better. Someone telling you constantly to change will not make much impact. It is you that needs to realize it and make the change for the better.
Here are some tips you should follow and I guarantee that it will have a positive result on your life.
Step 1: Focus Your Mind
Wake up every day 30 minutes earlier than usual and meditate or pray. This will help you to clear your mind from all worries and allow you to think clearly.
Then take a journal and write about what changes you want to make to your life. Writing them down allows you to focus on yourself and see what things you can eliminate from your life.
Do not use any computer, phone or social media in the morning. Stay away from these for at least an hour or two after waking up
Step 2: Clean Your Mind and Body
Clean up and organize your room/house/space and throw away all the clutter, extra things you may have that are taking up space. This will help in making you calmer and patient. Clutter and extra things sometimes trigger anxiety.
Remove all junk and processed food from your kitchen. Boxed, canned or anything that is unhealthy and has tons of sugar in it. Eat healthy, nutritional and organic foods. Initially, it may be difficult but as your body gets used to consuming healthy foods you will never want to touch them again.
Reduce your phone, tv, or computer time and instead read more books, go for a walk, exercise, play a sport or spend quality time with family. Do anything that will rejuvenate your mind and body. This will help you to start thinking positively.
Step 3: Remove Negativity from your Life
You need to cut out negative people from your life. It may be hard initially but that is the only way to move ahead. Negative people can have an alarming effect in your life as they will bring you down with them.
Unhealthy habits bring a negative imbalance to your body and mind. It may be time to quit habits like drinking, smoking, drugs, fast foods, gossiping and other things that are useless.
Once you quit these habits bring in positive habits to your life. For example; swimming, hiking, yoga, cycling, drink healthy teas, fresh juices, infused water, vegetables and breath in fresh air.
Step 4: Do something new
Schedule a vacation by saving up money, setting a date and working to achieving your goals. This will help motivate you to follow through with the plans.
Stop wasting time with unhealthy relationships. This is the number one reason why most people are unhappy and they do not know how to get out of it. No matter how much guilt builds up in you, it is time to cut ties. Eventually, in the long run, it will benefit you tremendously
Stop living the robotic life with the same routine every single day. The corporate structure and society has made us believe that routine is good. In fact, routine is the number one reason why most people are so depressed. Only robots do the same thing day in and day out. Are you a robot? It’s time to get out of your comfort zone and take up new challenges in your life. Learn a new language, learn to play an instrument like a piano or guitar, change the way you look (get a new hairstyle, change your wardrobe etc) play chess, meet new people, travel to other cities or countries, start a side business, learn a new skill set etc.
