Besomebody, Brown Distributing and Michelob Ultra Join Forces to Offer Austin Free Experiences on the #besomebody iPhone app
First-time bookers use the code “ULTRA” to get a free Experience this summer.
Austin, Texas (July 31, 2015) – Besomebody, Inc., a first-of-its-kind mobile platform that enables users to learn through passion-based Experiences, has teamed up with another Austin-based company, Brown Distributing, as well as their national partner, Michelob Ultra, to provide Austinites free Experiences for the next two months. Users can choose from more than 450 Experiences, from kayaking and wakesurfing, to painting and pottery, led by nearly 300 local “Passionaries” – the teachers on the platform.
First-time bookers can use the code “ULTRA” during the booking process to receive a free Experience, up to $50. Higher-priced Experiences receive a $50 discount. Adventure, Fitness, Music and Art represent the largest categories of Experiences, with emerging areas like Entrepreneurship and Life Coaching growing fast.
After sharing several major announcements last month, including an exclusive partnership with Austin’s REI Outdoor School and the closing of their second round of funding, the promotion with Brown and Michelob Ultra is the latest exciting news from the Austin-based startup.

The campaign, called “First Round’s On Us,” will run through October 1st and be promoted in retail outlets, billboards, taxis, radio segments, print magazines and across all of social media. Passionaries still get paid during the free promotion, as Besomebody is picking up all the costs of any Experiences booked.

The #besomebody app now has over 700 user-created passion areas and dozens of new Passionaries joining the platform every week. Top Passionaries are making over $3000/month teaching on the platform, with Motocross, Water Sports, Hiking, Yoga, Photography and Fitness among some of the most booked Experiences. Nearly 1000 Experiences have been booked over the last three months. Prices range from $5 for an hour-long Entrepreneurship session to $1600 for a week-long Travel Experience to Machu Picchu, Peru.

While the #besomebody app is free for download worldwide in the App Store, the Experience Marketplace is currently only available in Austin. The company plans to begin nationwide expansion in October, with Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York as the top potential markets.
