Austin-based companies combine forces to elevate Motocross as a top learning area on its growing Experience Marketplace.
Austin, Texas (July 7, 2015) – Besomebody, Inc., the world’s first mobile platform that connects people based on shared passions, has announced a new partnership with The Mx Factory, one of the nation’s top Motocross training schools. Besomebody’s mobile marketplace enables users to learn anything they’re passionate about by booking Experiences with talented people around them. The partnership will allow users to learn Motocross from some of the best riders in the country.
Besomebody, which grew from a hashtag to a blog to a worldwide movement that now reaches nearly five million people, recently completed a successful test launch of its mobile platform. Currently available on iPhone, the app offers users the opportunity to learn through in-person Experiences led by “Passionaries” – the teachers on the platform.
There are over 400 Experiences on the platform, ranging from learning to paint or play the piano from the girl next door, to learning how to wakesurf or race dirt bikes from local Pro’s.
“We are stoked for the opportunity to come together with one of the nation’s top Motocross schools, led by some of the best riders and coaches in the country,” said Kash Shaikh, Founder and CEO, Besomebody, Inc. “Motocross is a growing passion area on our platform, but people are often unsure where to learn and how to start. Now, you’ll be able to book nearly a dozen Motocross Experiences right from your phone.”
Motocross is widely considered to be the world’s most popular form of motorcycle racing. The sport has experienced strong growth as one of the original Action Sports because it’s exciting for casual fans as well as hard core competitors. Motocross tracks are usually made up of dirt covered hills, turns and jumps, making the sport very demanding on both the mind and body.
The Mx Factory, led by Professional Motocross Rider, Tyler Livesay, and his partner Jason Doyle, uses a combination of innovative on-track and off-track workouts to enable rider strength, speed and safety. The Experiences available for booking range from beginner level “Learn to Ride” experiences to advanced racer training.
“It’s a dream come true to partner with #besomebody to allow even more people to pursue their passion of Motocross,” said Livesay. “The #besomebody movement has inspired millions of people around the world, and I truly believe the new mobile platform will help even more people to do what they love, and follow their passion. We are excited about the journey ahead.”
Both companies are currently working together with investors to complete a new facility that will be unveiled later this summer. The Mx Factory will retain its branding on the race track within the new space, while adopting the #besomebody branding for all other parts of its business and promotions. Livesay, Doyle and other Mx Factory coaches will become Passionaries on the #besomebody platform.
“We’re creating a new path for learning,” said Shaikh. “This partnership is yet another exciting step toward that vision.”
